DESCRIPTION:I’m delighted to present “Splash” as part of MORE is MORE\, a richly expressive group exhibition celebrating maximalism through the work of ARTSPLACE members. Evoking the movement and brilliance of crashing waves\, this one-of-a-kind textile vessel is meticulously crafted with silk\, silver leaf\, silver wire\, gemstones\, and machine embroidery. “Splash” is available for purchase through the Gallery for $250.00 CAD. \n.  \n \nSpecifications:\nHeight (inches):11.5\nWidth (inches):	11\nDepth (inches):	10 \n“Artists have been encouraged to interpret the theme in ways that reflect their own practices and lived\nexperiences. Some works may embrace saturated colour\, dense patterning\, or richly worked surfaces\, while\nothers may build meaning through repetition\, assemblage\, or the accumulation of materials and imagery.\nAcross media\, the exhibition highlights the many ways complexity can emerge through process\, form\, and\ncontent\,” said Gallery Director\, Sophie Paskins.\nThe exhibition also encouraged artists to push beyond restraint and embrace experimentation. Maximalism\ncan be playful or critical\, ordered or unruly. It may respond to identity\, memory\, desire\, consumption\,\nnostalgia\, or pleasure. In each case\, abundance becomes a means of expression rather than an end in itself.\n“More is More” opening reception Saturday\, August 1\, from 12 to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served\, all\nare welcome.
